Although I can communicate in Spanish, I lack essential skills that I wish I possessed to better understand and express myself. My vocabulary span in Spanish is minimal, and I always find myself at a loss of words when trying to hold a conversation. When reading, I stumble across words and realize that most of what I'm reading, I don't understand and can't read fluently. It takes me a while to process what I'm reading. Aside from communicating and reading, my writing also needs improvement. Like I mentioned before, my vocabulary span is minimal and I can't write as strongly as I wish I were. Aside from the vocabulary span problem, I also have trouble identifying when to use accent marks. During this process of Language Development, my plan is to research and take notes on when to use accent marks, read books out loud to better my fluency, and practice my writing by writing papers on the books I'm reading. Additionally, to help me with pronunciation I plan on listening to more music in Spanish so that I can receive constant exposure to this language.
